Training for Schools: Practical Skills for Safer, Supportive Learning Communities
Supporting school staff and students with clear, practical mental health skills.
Training on the Go supports schools to build staff confidence through practical mental health skills that support early recognition, confident conversations, and appropriate escalation in everyday school contexts.
Why Mental Health Training Matters in Schools
Schools face increasing emotional demands across staff and student communities. Without shared mental health skills, staff can feel unsure how to respond, concerns are recognised later, and pressure increases across classrooms and leadership teams.
When schools have clear, practical mental health skills:
- Staff respond earlier and with confidence
- Students experience safer, more supportive environments
- Conversations happen sooner, with clearer boundaries
Mental health training supports consistent, appropriate responses while protecting staff roles, wellbeing, and professional responsibilities.
Who this training is for
We work with schools that want practical, ethically grounded mental health training that fits real school environments.
This training is designed for teachers, wellbeing staff, and leadership teams who share responsibility for student wellbeing and safe school cultures.
What We Do
Training on the Go delivers evidence-informed mental health and wellbeing training designed specifically for school contexts.
Our Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) courses are delivered in line with Mental Health First Aid Australia standards and accreditation. All other training is skills-based and evidence-informed, drawing on established wellbeing practice appropriate to school settings.
Our approach supports distributed, trust-based, and values-led leadership, helping staff share responsibility for wellbeing, respond consistently, and act early within clear role boundaries.
All training is delivered online, supporting access for schools across metropolitan, regional, and remote communities.
Our training builds practical skills for early recognition, supportive conversations, and appropriate escalation within school roles.
Staff gain clarity around boundaries, responsibilities, and referral pathways aligned with school safeguarding expectations.
