Accidental Counselling Course will provide you with practical skills; whether you are talking to someone going through a difficult time, having relationship issues, not coping with life, or feeling helpless. This course will help you respond in a helpful and appropriate way.
You will learn how to help someone identify their strengths, that assist them to manage their problems better, and easier. You will learn how to reframe their thinking to give them a different perspective on something that previously painted a negative picture.

About the refresher course
The Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) Refresher course supports adults who have previously completed the 14-hour Youth Mental Health First Aid course or Blended YMHFA within the last three years to refresh their knowledge, revisit practical skills, and stay confident in supporting young people.
For accredited YMHFAiders, this refresher provides the opportunity to extend Youth Mental Health First Aid accreditation for a further three years.
Course format
5-hour live, instructor-led online session
Interactive discussion, scenario-based learning, and skills revision
Delivered via Zoom by an accredited Youth MHFA Instructor

Accreditation
Upon successful completion of the Refresher Course and accreditation assessment, participants’ Youth Mental Health First Aid accreditation will be extended for a further three years.
